RETAIL FRUITERERS
ONE ORGANISATION
On Monday evening a meeting of all persons connected with the retail side of the fruit trade was held in the Trades Hall, the hall being well filled.
It was decided that the three existing associations, namely, European, Chinese, and Indian, should combine into one organisation, to be called the Wellington Provincial Fruit Traders' Association.
The object of the new association is to endeavour to obtain more satisfactory trading conditions, and protection, for the retailers and the consuming public generally.
Mr. L. A. Osborne was appointed organising secretary, and Mr. J. W. Ranson honorary advisory organiser. Other office bearers were also appointed.
