TREATMENT OF CANCER
RECOMMENDATIONS BY
CONFERENCE
MELBOURNE, May 6. The Australian conference on cancer decided to recommend the Commonwealth Government to treat cancer as a national problem, to appoint a National Eesearch Council, to develop fully the facilities at the metropolitan and country centres for treatment and diagnosis of cancer, and that each capital city aim to erect and maintain an tup-to-date institute for the treatment of cancer and for research.
It was also decided that famous international authorities on cancer be invited to attend the conference at Sydney two years hence.
