HEALTH OF CHILDREN
BROOKLYN PLUNKET SOCIETY
The fourteenth annual meeting of the Brooklyn Plunket Society was held recently. The Rev. G. K. Moir presided over an attendance of about 60 members and supporters. Mesdames Jowett, Wilson, 'Ty the-Brown, Parton (members of the central executive), and Miss Ward (secretary) were amongst the visitors.
The president of the branch (Mrs. H. R. fright) congratulated the committee and all helpers on their splendid'effort to, assist and supplement the finances of the society. A baby carnival and the annual dance held during the year were great successes.
A very interesting address was given by Mrs. E. Rothwell.
Musical and elocutionary items were rendered by Miss Nola Hyde, Mrs. Upton, the Misses and Master O'Sullivan.
A vote of thanks was accorded Nurse Sell for the very efficient manner in which she had carried out her work, and also to Nurse Hitchmen for her good work among the elder children. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, .Mrs. Orwin; vicepresidents, Mesdames H. R. Wright, Parton, Ralph, and Miss Crabtree; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Bowie; committee, Mesdames H. R. Wright, Newton, Hubbard, France, Clift, Butler, Edgar, Hooper, Alexander, Jouning, Hooker, Aitken, and O'Connor; auxiliary committee, Mesdames Magee, B. Wright, Kewall, Shardlow, Good, Bakei-, and Carter.
