MOVE IN DANNEVIRKE

DANNEVIRKE, This Day.
An enthusianic meeting of representatives' of the town and\ district, presided over by Mr. W. H. Gaisford, decided to form a hew racing club, to be known as the Danneyirke Jockey Club. Provided 500 members can; be obtained, it is hoped to revive racing in Dannevirke in the near future; AboutlOO members joined at. the meeting. ' . . ■ ■'' - •■': '-. •-.- : . ■'■
Racing at present is being conducted by the Dannevirke Racing Club away from home under agreements, with neighbouring clubs, but this is not very popular with 'many, hence the move to form anew club.'
