MEETING OF CABINET

PARIS, May 5. At a lengthy Cabinet meeting a long speech was made by M. Flandin, on the foreign situation, and another by M. Regnier dealing with finance.

M. Regnier subsequently stated that no special measures to safeguard the franc, such as control of foreign exchanges or an embargo on gold, were necessary before the resignation of Cabinet, which is expected to take place on June 1, when the new Chamber will meet.
