ANSTEY-GRIFFIN.

The marriage was solemnised at the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church recently of Joan, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Griffin, Miramar, and Leslie, second son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Anstey, Hataitai. The Rev. "W. Gilmour officiated, and Mr. A. Mill played the "Wedding March" as the bride entered the church,' escorted by her father.

Heavy pale pink, satin formed the graceful bridal gown which was made with a cowled bodice and long sleeves. The skirt was cut on classical lines forming a graceful fan-shaped train. The bride's tulle veil was worn, off the face and was held in place by a halo of tulle finished with pale pink orange blossom. A beautiful shower bouquet of pale pink begonias, carnations, and chrysanthemums completed! the ensemble. The bridesmaids, Miss Trixie McAlpine (chief) and Miss Jean. Griffin (sister of the bride), were dressed alike in frocks of floral georgette over pink satin, finished at the waists with large pink satin bows. The skirts formed graceful trains. They wore pink haloes finished with small silver bows and carried bouquets of deep pink carnations, begonias, and chrysanthemums. Master Ronald Griffin, who was page boy, was dressed in Highland costume. Mr. F. Anstey, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and Mr. H. Lawson was groomsman.

A reception was held in the Mokoia Hall where the guests were received by Mrs. Griffin (mother of the bride), wearing a wine ensemble, and Mrs. Anstey (mother of the bridegroom), wearing a frock of autumn shades. Both carried posies to tone.

Mr. and Mrs. Anstey left for a motor tour of the.North Island, the bride wearing a smart navy blue ensemble with a small navy blue French velour hat and accessories to tone.
