In the afternoon, a fourball best-ball bogey event was won by I. V. O. Duncan (5) and H. Dykes (12); with the good card of 7 up. The next best were R. Lynch (17) and E. A. Maxwell (15), and D. Butler (4) and C. Allan (15), 6 up.
In the first round of the Tingey Cup Petersen and Sherwood beat D. Butler and Allan, 3 and 2; Titterington and Hood beat Edwards and Lucas, 5 and 4; Duncan and Dykes beat Forbes and Haugh, 7 and 6; Fitt and Lynch beat Stanley and Maxwell, 2 up; A. S. T. Butler and Cochrane beat Sawyers and Syme, 3 and 2; Mills and Linley beat Bowling arid Slee, 2 and 1; Radford and Murphy beat E. Butler and Tucker, 4 and 2; Brockett and H. J. Smith beat Cockburn and Bernet, 1 up.
