A member asked in the House of Commons this afternoon what steps the Foreign Secretary was taking to protect the rights of Egypt with regard to the headwaters of the Blue Nile, recently occupied by Italian troops. Lord Cranborne replied that ..the rights of Bgypt, as of the AngloEgyptian Sudan and his Majesty's Government, are protected by existing agreements with both Abyssinia and Italy.
