FLIGHT TO JAVA

O'HARA LEAVING FOR

AUSTRALIA

SYDNEY, April 28. The airman, Mr. W. M. O'Hara, who flew the Tasman last October, and is at present in New Zealand, sent a message to a Sydney friend, according to the "Sun," saying that he is returning to Sydney by the Monowai on Monday and is bringing his monoplane. He intends to fly to Java via Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Northwest Australia and across the Timor Sea. Mr. O'Hara was refused permission by the Australian Civil Aviation Department to take-off from Australia on his Tasman flight with an'overloaded machine. Subsequently the Minister of Defence stated that Mr. O'Hara would be prosecuted if he flew back to Australia from New Zealand.
