TWENTY-ONE ARRESTS

PAKAPOO PLAYING ALLEGED

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 28. Police parties raided four premises in different parts of the city, this aftarnoon and arrested twenty-one, men, including a number; of Chinese. The raids were made in connection with alleged breaches of tlie Gaming Act. They attracted considerable attention, and large crowds gathered. No difficulty was experienced in entering any of the four premises, and there was no resistance to arrest. From each building the police emerged with a considerable quantity of slips and other material alleged to-be used in the playing of pakapoo. Cases will be heard in the Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
