SUCCESSFUL CONCERT

A most successful concert was organised last night by Mrs. "Wilfred Andrews in aid of the proposed assemblyhall ' for the Wellington East Girls' College. The chairman of the Parents' Association, Mr. C. E. Proctor, presided " and made an eloquent plea for funds for. the building,. which, he pointed out, was very badly needed. Songs were contributed by Miss Edna Parton, Mr. Roy Hill, Mr. Ernest Glading, and Mrs. Wilfred Andrews. Elocutionary items were given by Miss Dorothy Seymour and Mr. L. Grothier, •. and musical monologues by Mr. Norman Aitken. The Regent Theatre Trio, the Aeolian Four, and the Girls' College Glee Choir were also contributors to a very enjoyable programme.

C. W. Price and Co., 91 Dixon Street, will sell unredeemed pledges in the mart tomorrow, commencing at 10.30 a.m.. •. ■ . E. Johnston and Co., auctioneers, will sell household furnishings at the residence, No. 383, Marine Parade, Karaka Bayj at 12.30 p.m. tomorrow. -
