"MOST PERFECT CORNER"

CANADIAN WHEAT BOARD'S

POWER

(Received April 27, 9 a.m.?

OTTAWA, April 23,

The Canadian Government according to the testimony of Mr. Murray, chairman of the National Wheat Board, before a Parliamentary Committee, was in a position to execute the "most perfect corner" of wheat ever known in the world. He hastened to add, however, that the Government contemplated no such action. He explained that exporters, millers, and speculators in many parts of the world would be at the board's mercy if they were called upon to make actual delivery of wheat held by the board under May options. "We would have a perfect corner and could squeeze these gentlemen and make them settle at our own price," he said.
