PARTIES FOR MISS NORWOOD
Miss Jean Sutherlana and .her :brother, Mr. Arthur Sutherland,' gave a most delightful dance at "Homewood," their well-known home at Karori, on Friday night in honour of Miss Edna Norwood and her fiance, Mr. Don Swanson, of Melbourne, who are to be married this week.
.Hydrangeas in vivid shades decorated the large panelled reception hall. In: the drawing-room, masses of primulas and love-in-the-mist were arranged, and there were lovely pink chrysanthemums in the ballroom. A buffet supper was set out on the long refectory table in Vthe dining-room. Miss Norwood was wearing a beautiful frock of pale pink chiffon, and white crepe patterned with roses .was worn by her hostess. " • . The guests included Mr. and • Mrs. C. J. B.
