About sixty returned men, under Major F. "Wilson, paraded at Ngaio and headed by the Artillery Band, under Lieutenant Bowman, marched from the Town Hall to the new school where a service' was conducted in conjunction with.'the school committee. There was a large attendance of school children and parents, as well as- the Boy Scouts of the district. . •.; '. •

After the breaking of the.flag,, the service opened with the hymn VOfi God Our Help in Ages Past," followed by a prayer and lesson by the Rev. Mr. Carpenter. After the' singing of the hymn "Lest We Forget," Lieut-Colonel H. E. Avery, p. 5.0., addressed the assembly on the" "Landing at Gallippli."

The "Last Post'\and,'!Reyeille" wert sounded by Bombardier Gray. .

The hall and Roll of Honour were beautifully and appropriately decorated by the Girl Guides—about 20 ;ol whom attended under Captain Campbell. The prayers and lesson were read by the Rev. D.. D. Scott, and the. Rev. J.-F. Martin delivered the: address.'--*-.
