TROTTING BREVITIES

Nominations for the Maryborough Trotting Club's Annual Meeting and the trotting events at the Marlborough Racing Club's Autumn Meeting close this evening at 9 o'clock.

Among the entries for the trotting events at Cambridge is the Americanbred colt Swordsman, who 4 has been working along satisfactorily for F. J. Smith for some time now. A fine stamp of colt, Swordsman shows great promise in his training essays, and when it fs decided to race him he can be assured of his share of support. Swordsman is a son of Peter Volo, 2 mm 2sec, the world's champion trotting sire, and should eventually reach a high plane as a trotter.
