DRUNK IN CHARGE
... A cabinetmaker, Albert Cook, aged 50, who pleaded guilty before Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., on Friday, to being intoxicated while in charge of a car, was fined £10 and costs. 'His licence was cancelled for twelve months and the cancellation was ordered to be endorsed on the licence. ■
Sub-Inspector C.E. Roach, who prosecuted, said that on Thursday the accused had smashed into another car parked in Taranaki Street. The doctor who had examined Cook said that he was not fit to drive a motor vehicle.
