EASTER SHOW

HORSE JUMPING EVENTS

The attractions at the Easter Show continue to attract large attendances and today's horse jumping events created considerable interest. On Easter Monday there will be the pony and other jumps, including the wire jump, and' on Tuesday there will be %'c dog trials and, amongst other jumping events ' the pony championship jump. There are no fewer than 260 entries in the horse events, and riders from Dannevirke, Masterton, Manawatu, Wanganui, Raetihi, and Ohingaiti are competing, as well as local riders, amongst whom, in the pony jumps, are the children of Lady Galway, who will be present with a party from Government House.

On .Monday evening wrestling and jiu-jitsu will be added features of the show. Many expressions of admiration for the attractions of the show have been received from visitors. The range of exhibits is wider than any before, and the motor olympia is much superior. The side-shows, too, present a wide variety. The whole show has been very well organised and reflects credit upon both the association and the exhibitors.
