RADIO PROGRAMMES
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—l desire to enter my protest against the action of the Broadcasting Board in sending out from the four YA stations the samfe programme at the same time. Such an action is unfair to very many subscribers, for the subsidiary stations and B stations, owing to their limited transmitting power, are unattainable, with any degree of satisfaction, at many places. Here in Nelson, in. spite of the board's assertion to the contrary, atmospherics are extremely bad, and it is only IYA or 2YA upon which we can rely with any degree of likelihood of a programme. Surely Parliamentary broadcasts could be undertaken by our YA station in each Island, so those who desire can listen, while those who do not can have an alternative, instead of. a "dud" evening. Last evening (Sunday) the same programme was given by the four Y.A.s at the same time.—l am, etc.,
