ACCIDENT ON BRIDGE

; • (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ■■ / •.•■■■■ DANNEVIRKE, April 7; :■ While cycling from Dannevirke after school to his home at Papatawa, Claude ■William Burlace, just under 14 years of age, a son of: Mr. William Leslie Burlace, was killed on a bridge on the main road near Dannevirke racecourse through colliding with a motorcar driven by Mr. Thomas William Raymond Skerratt, representative of an oil company, residing at Masterton, who was travelling to Dannevirke. The boy Burlace, who was in company with two other high school pupils, apparently suddenly swerved into the oncoming car. The top of his head was crushed and death was practically instantaneous.
