Given good weather conditions bowlers in the Wellington district will have an interesting Easter as, apart from the Easter tournament of the Wellington Bowling Centre, the popular Marlborough tournament has attracted a .large number of local bowlers to the Sounds district. Play will begin'on Good Friday and will be continued during1 the holiday period. The forty-two rinkg that have entered for the Wellington tournament will play in four sections, three games being played by each rink each day on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. The post-section play will be commenced on the Hataitai green on Tuesday and the final will be decided on Wednesday. Practically all of the clubs in the Wellington Bowling Centre are represented and .visitors from as far afield as Masterton and Stratford will take part. Eight greens will be used for the section play, and they are all in fairly good condition at the present time. Headquarters will 'be at the Wellington Bowling Club's pavilion on Friday and Saturday, and at the Hataitai Club's pavilion during the remainder of the tournament.
