TRAFFIC OFFENCES
MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Offences against the bylaws were dealt with by Mr.E. D. Mosley, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. For''dangerous driving George Ronald Dobson was fined 30s and costs, his licence was endorsed and suspended until May 31, and he was prohibited from obtaining-ra, new one until October 31. ■■,•'■
Robert Carruthers'was fined £2 and costs 'for failing' to-keep- to the left. For neglecting. to give the required signal when"' turning, Cyril , Marsden Eyles was fined' 20s and costs. Patrick Fee was fined £2 and costs for a breach of the one-way traffic rule.
A fine of 20s and costs was imposed on. Sidney Fletcher Pavies for having the wrong plates on his motor-cycle. For not having bis. number plate illuminated, Noel Gibson was fined 5s and costs.
Harry Green was fined 30s and costs for driving against a signal, and Gilbert W. Jacobs, for failing to give way to traffic, was fined 20s and costs. For driving insufficiently lighted vehicles, George Abernethy, Ernest Arthur Cash, and Raymond George were fined 10s and costs, and Florence Adams, Mandel Maris, John Gordon Bacon, and Cecil Phillip Brassell were each fined 5s and costs.
Fines of 10s and costs were imposed on Robert Jameson Allender, Denis Clifford, and Sidney Epsom for breaches of the parking regulations, on Mary Teresa Braddon for passing a stationary tram, and >on Leon Cottier and Keith Horace Free for failing to notify the authorities of the name and address of the new owner of a motorvehicle after sale. On the last charge, Dominion Motors was fined 20s and costs. ' '■■■•.
. For driving a motor-cycle without lights, Frank Critchley was fined 20s and costs. Fines of 10s and costs were imposed on Ernest Arthur Cash, Gwendoline Dwan, Sidney Fletcher Davies, Vincent Goodwin: .Gregan, Raymond George, Ernest W. Healey, Gilbert W. Jacobs, and John Gordon Bacon for driving without a licence.. For driving with defective tail-lights, -Howard P. Knight, Annie Larsen, Frederick G. McNally, Jack Pettengell, and lah W: Phaup were each fined 5s and rosfe and George Alexander Sinclair was convicted and discharged. Godwin Arthur King, for driving without a licence,' was fined 30s and costs and for carrying, more than two passengers, ids and costs. ' For driving at a dangerous speed, Neville L. Sharpin was fined 20s and costs and had his licence endorsed. William James McGill, for" driving against a traffic signal, was fined 20s and costs.
William Whittaker, for riding a motor-cycle with an unauthorised number plate, was fined 20s and costs, and for riding without a licence, 10s and costs.
For driving in a negligent manner, Leonard H. Whitelaw was fined £3 and costs and his licence was suspended until July 31. Joseph E: Turnbull was fined 10s and costs for driving without a licence.
