APPEAL COURT
CLAIM AGAINST BANK
The appeal of. William Douglas Lysnar, station owner, of Gisborne, against a judgment of Mr. Justice Blair given in the Supreme Court last October, is being continued' before the Court of Appeal today. The appellant, when he appeared in the Supreme Court last year, claimed approximately £137,000 from the National Bank of New Zealand and was allowed, in effect, only £150. The appeal is being heard by their Honours Mr. Justice Reed, Mr. Justice Ostler, and Mr. Justice Kennedy.' ■' Mr. Lysnar is arguing his own case. The National Bank is represented by Mr. A. H. Johnstone, K.C., of Auckland, with him Mr. D. E. Chrisp, of Gisborne, and Mr. G. R. Powles, of Wellington. . This morning the appellant dealt with some' of the evidence that had been .placed before the Supreme Court. The case will continue for some days. ■
