SYNOPSIS OF LAST 48 HOURS. , Slight, depressions passed in the south both on Saturday and Sunday nights, but pressure has remained fairly high over the Dominion. Showers or misty rain have.fallen at isolated places in the western and southern portions of the South Island and, about Cook Strait, but although cloudy at times, the weather for the most part has been fair and the winds light to moderate and Tariablc.
