AUCKLAND, April 5:
Six records were broken at the annual Auckland inter-secondary schools' sports meeting held in ideal conditions. J. D. Oddy (Mount Albert Grammar) '.he junior provincial champion, put the shot 40ft 4Jin, and threw, the discus 106 ft 7Jin. In the 440 yards intermediate race, R. Collins (Auckland Grammar) covered the distance, in 55 4-ssec, the previous reo'ord bein 56sec. In the junior section E. M. Elliott (Auckland Grammar) in the 220 yards and the 440 yards,, re'cbrd.ed 25 l-ssec and 57 4-ssec respectively,: the previous best figures being .25 3-ssec and 58 l-ssec. The junior.high jump record was broken by C Harrison (Sacred Heart College) and K. Wilson (King's College) who both cleared 4ft 9 5-Bin. Auckland Grammar was the champion school, winning the senior and intermediate grades by substantial' margins. Scored Heart College won the junior grade by six points from Auckland Grammar School. •
