There was beautiful weather and a record attendance for the second day of the Whangarei Racing Club's Autumn Meeting. The totalisator. investments were £12,784 10s against £9157 on the second day last year, making £21,693 10s for the meeting, compared with £15,763 10s last year, an increase of £5930. The principal event, the Autumn Handicap, saw Velocipede. scoring again, the three-year-old's thuee wins this season having been on the Whangarei course. Velocipedes stablemate, the three-year-old . Triune, also owned by the Avondale trainer W. H. Maria, completed the day's double in the Flying Handicap. Sebrof, the four-vear-old brother to Prince Lv, continued his winning sequence among the hacks.
