LONDON SHEEPSKIN SALES.
Dalgety and Company, Ltd;, report: At the sheepskin sales competition was general. Good attendance of buyers and fair selection of skins. Home trade, America, and Continent operating. As compared with closing rates of last series, fine half-breds and fine combing cross-breds both par to rather higher. Lambs firm at unchanged prices. Other descriptions irregular; change if any is in favour of buyers.
The following is the range of sheepskin prices.- 3819 bales, were offered and about 95 per cent, were sold:— Merino: 3/full woolled, lid to 13d; }/J woolled, 7£d to BJd; short and shorn, not quoted. Crossbred: f/full woolled fine, 9d to 14d; f/full woolled medium coarse, 7Jd to 10id; J/i woolled fine, 7d to lOd; 4/J woolled medium coarse, 6i}d to 9Jd; short and shorn, 6d to 7Jd. Lambs: 7d to 113 d.
