A STRANGE DIFFERENCE
A rather inexplicable difference occurs in the assessment of' the same horse by the same handicapper at Feilding and Wairarapa respectively. In the Feilding Cup Pladie has 8.3, but in the Easter Handicap at Tauherenikau, run over the same distance, he has only 7.13. The three horses above Pladie in the Wairarapa list are Big Dook, 9.0, Davistock, 8.9, and After Money, 8.5, and these three horses have the identical weight in the Feilding Cup. On this weighting it would be surprising if Pladie were to prefer Feilding to Tauherenikau. unless there should be other factors to influence the decision of his connections. •
