The 18-holes stroke competition played by the Mornington Club during the weekend was won by K. W. Stephen with an excellent card of 70,10—60. His putting during the round was uncanny; no matter what length of putt he had, he confidently sank it. Other good cards were returned by S. Ward, 81, 19 —62; A. Creagh, 87, 24—63; C. Tonks, 83, 19—64; W. Coy, 83, 18—65; U. P. Calcinai, 90, 24—66; A. Charles, 83, 16 —67; D. B. Stratmore, 73, 6—67; W. Knudson. 79, 12—67; L. J. Nicolson, 90, 23—67; W. Shilling, 92, 24—68; and T. O'Kelly,: 83, 15—68.
The 'Stableford competition saw a popular win for W. Charles with a card 21. 17—38, next being R. Smith, 24 12—36; C. A. Armstrong, 20, 14—34; W. Knudsen, 25, 9—34; L. Minifle, 28, 6 —34; W; H. Kelly, 20, 13—33; K. W. Stephen. 27, 6—33; T. O'Kelly, 22, 11— 33; O. G. Hearne, 22, 11—33; and A. Oreagh, 15. 17—32. . During Easter a full programme of competitions will be played.
