The Under-Secretary for Air, Sir Philip Sassdon, informed Sir Frank Sanderson in the House of Commons that the average delay in the last twelve Imperial Airways flights from London to Singapore was less than a day, due to the use of slower aircraftfollowing losses of aeroplanes, the< destruction of the Alexandria slipway; ai d bad weather.
