SETTLEMENT OF ASSYRIAN CHRISTIANS

RUGBY, March 31,

An appeal was launched today, at an influential meeting in the Mansion House at which the Lord Mayor presided, on behalf of the the fund of £180,000 required to augment the contributions of the British and other Governments and of the League of Nations for the settlement of Assyrian Christians.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, who is sponsoring the appeal, and the Foreign Secretary, were the chief speakers.
