TRIBUTES PAID
DECEASED LEGISLATORS
Tributes to the memory of the late Hon. G. J. Anderson,; M.L.C., the late Mr. K. S. Williams, and the late Mr. P. A. de la Perrelle, all former Ministers of the Crown, were paid in the House .of Representatives ■ yesterday afternoon by the Prime Minister (the Hon. M. J. Savage) and the Leader of the Opposition (the Rt.'Hon. G. W.; Forbes), and other speakers. The services rendered to the country by these three legislators were extolled by every speaker, and the customary motions of sympathy were passed. Particular reference was made to the part played by the late Mr.\ Anderson in framing and introducing industrial legislation, and also to the keen interest shown in and the generous assistance given to the-Maori race by Mr1. The- House also placed on. record its appreciation of the services of. the late Sir James Mills, a former member of the House: of Representatives.
