TUI GLEN CLUB
Despite the inclemency of the weather a large number of club members and friends were present at the Tui Glen Golf Club on Sunday last when Mr. L. J. Purdie, the president of the club, declared the 1936 season open. During the day a mixed bogey competition was played and resulted in a tie between Mrs. Purdie and Mr. R. Murray and Miss West and Mr. Swinburne.
A hidden hole competition was won by G. W. Hiddell in the men's section, while Mrs. Latta and Miss Whitehead tied in the ladies' section.
The day's festivities were concluded by a delightful afternoon tea served by : the lady members of the club.
