UNDERGRADE WHEAT

PREMATURE THRASHINGS

The Wheat Committee has been caused some concern, states the Christchurch "Press," by the amount of undergrade wheat being offered thrashed out of stack. It recommends farmers to delay thrashing out of stack for a few weeks because mills are mostly well enough stocked up with wheat and the longer thrashing is delayed the greater is the increment obtainable on the wheat. Wheat stacked in the condition that most of it was stacked this season in Canterbury has a very good chance of corning into excellent condition if left in stack for about six weeks at least.
