LIKELY HORSE FOR CUPS

Imported horses to Australia have not been prominent in racing there during'the last three years. Denis Boyj who won the Metropolitan in 1931 and the Caulfleld Cup in 1932, was the most "noteworthy performer ■of recent years, from the Old Country. Unless a good number of shrewd critics are mistaken,, however, Plymouth Sound, a four-year-old son of Coronach and the Polymelus mare Plymstock who reached Melbourne from England last month, may be, expected to earn distinction as a cup horse. Plymouth Sound, who was bought in England for 2500g5, is owned by Messrs. E. L. Baillieu, W. Clark, and W. S. Robinson. He has taken so readily to Australian conditions as to encourage an early start in his preparation, and he is now included in the numerous team trained by J. Holt.
