Heavy fog encountered over Belfast this evening resulted in a Moth aeroplane piloted by Mr.' R. Grant being forced to land in a lucerne paddock on the property'of Mr. J. R.D., Johns. ,

■ • Mr. Grant, with Mr, F... Molloy as a passenger, left Blenheim this afternoon at about 4.30 o'clock and was expected to reach Wigram shortly before seven. Visibility became very bad and Mr. Grant decided to land. This was done without mishap, but the pilot found it difficult to avoid landing in a field in which cows were grazing.
