T, Hazlett's Chelandry Stud in Southland, as Sir Simper, the last of imported Simper's progeny,, is. due for an early return to the Dominion from Melbourne, where he proved himself a good racehorse :last.-.season. ~,.,_ Sir Simper's sire, Grand Knight, by Grand Parade, was a high-class performer, his successes including the Great Easter. Handicap with 9.3 and the Great Autumn Handicap under 9.4. Sir Simper will have excellent opportunities for making a name as a sire, as Mr. Hazlett has a fine collection o£ well-bred mares at his stud in Southland.
