PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP
ON HUTT COURSE AT
EASTER
Owing to the fact that the Wellington Golf Club is reconstructing a number of the holes on its course at Heretaunga, the Wellington amateur provincial golf championship is to be held at Hutt this year, in conjunction with the club's Easter tournament, on April 11, 13, and 14.
The Hutt course was in first-class order for the professional tourney which has just concluded, the greens particularly being in excellent condition.
The present holder of the provincial championship is J. P. Hornabrook.
The following is the programme for the tourney:—
Saturday, April 11.—Morning: Championship (first qualifying round), stroke handicap (18 holes), and first round Birnie Cup. Afternoon: Championship (second qualifying round), stroke handicap (18 holes), and second round Birnie Cup.
Monday, April 13.—Morning: Championship (first round), first round flight tournament, and bogey handicap (18 holes). Afternoon: Championship (second round), second round flight tournament, first round special flight tournament, and bogey handicap (18 holes).
Tuesday, April 14.—Morning: Champipnship (semi-final), flight tournament finals, second round special flight tournament, and bogey handicap (18 holes). Afternoon: Championship final (18 holes), special .flight tournament final (18 holes) and fourball bogey handicao (18 holes).
