PAKANUI COMES SOLID
- As' a two-year-old, Pakanui . showed a fair amount of .promise, but it is only within the last month that he has begun to fulfil it this season. He: had a good deal of trouble earlier- in the season: First, it was a leg and later a respiratory ailment, but a win- at the Poverty Bay Meeting was followed by a double at Napier Park last; week. Although this speedy son of Hunting Song makes a noise, he has been able to extend'his' range'of success to a mile and if he can toe'kept in his present' form he will number many friends at meetings immediately ahead. ..
