NEW CLOCK IN MANNERS STREET

Those of Wellington's residents who do' not possess reliable watches lamented, the removal of the old clock, which used to be a landmark of the city, from outside the premises then occupied by Mr. Freeman, jeweller, in Manners Street. Since the demolition of this clock, in April pf last year, the premises have been rebuilt for Mr. George E. Cox, oculist, and he has replaced the old. clock with an electric one of the most modern design. This clock can be rim either from the Mangahao power, or from a dry battery, and it incorporates many other novel features in its'design and working. , ■ ' ■ • '
