CARGOES OF FERTILISER
VESSELS ARRIVING
BASIC SLAG & PHOSPHATES
Large quantities of fertilisers, including basic slag, guano and phosphates, are being brought to New Zealand. Of eight steamers which left Europe for New Zealand with basic slag cargoes, three, the Pcnsilva and the Simonside from Antwerp, and the Antigone from Immingham, are discharging at Auckland, says the "New Zealand Herald." Two others^ the Anglo African and the Tymeric, will arrive at Auckland from Antwerp today and on Friday respectively. The steamer Karma is due at Auckland on Friday from Walpole Island with a cargo of guano, and next Monday the steamers Triona' and Beatus will arrive from Nauru Island and Ocean Island with phosphate cargoes. Another vessel, the Oakbank, is due at Lyttelton from Ocean Island today with a cargo of phosphates for South Island ports.The Pensilva is unloading all her basic slag cargo at -Auckland, and the Antigone, Simonside, Anglo African, and Tymeric will unload at Auckland and New Plymouth. Three more steamers, the Fiscus, Anglo Indian, and Dalemoor, will arrive from Antwerp during March and early in April. Their basic slag cargoes will also be unloaded at Auckland and New Plymouth.
