Writing in "L'Oeuvre," Madarne "Dabouis predicts a German attack on. Holland and Czechoslovakia in. tine middle of 1937 without a declaration of war. The General Staffs of the principal European countries liave agreed that Germany has •adopted a definite plan of campaign, Madame Tahouis declares, which ■envisages three German columns entering Holland, die first crossing the Meuse and attacking the Albert Canal, with Calais as the objective, the second advancing on both tanks of the Rhine with the Dutch iirst lines of defence as an objective, before mobilisation could be effected, and the third, preceded by tanks and armoured cars, to drive across Holland aiming at the separation of the north and south sections of the country. The plan is designed to effect complete occupation of Holland within 24 hours, enabling an immediate attack to be made upon Belgium and the seizing of the North Sea ports in order to prevent Britain aiding France.
Madame Tabouis adds that Germany also is planning fortifications in the Rhineland with the object of preventing France aiding Czechoslovakia, which the General Staff believes it can occupy within ten days. . Then, according to the plans, the Germans would continue to drive through Rumania and attack the Ukraine.
The "Daily Telegraph's" diplomatic writer says that the French Government is consulting Britain witji respect to' measures for meeting the Hhineland menace, and feels that Germany should be warned before she moves. The French are also considering whether any German- action should not be met toy further reinforcements and garri* sons on the French frontier.
