THREE-YEAR-OLDS IN CUP
The full list of weights for the Australian Cup, 2£ miles, to be rua> at Flewington on March 7, shows that the three-year-old division is well represented. Feldspar and Allunga, who fought out the finish for the leading position in the Victoria Derby, have each been awarded 8 6 which represents 61b over weight-for-age. Palfresco, winner of the Caulfleld Cup, is weighted at 8.3, and four other three-year-olds engaged are Bustard 7.7, Nada 7.7, Loud Applause 7.3, and Ismarus 7.1. Three-year-olds have won the Australian Cup on 17 occasions, namely:— Barwon 7.8, Nathalie 6.8, Gasworks 8.5, Richmond 7.13, Sybil 6.13, First King 8.5, Navigator 8.3, Trident 8.7, Carlyon 8.2, Dreadnought 8.6, Coil 8.0, Bobadil 8.9, Great Scot 8.0, Pendil 7.1, Harvest King 7.10, Carry On 7.3, and Sylvandale 8.3.
