The two men injured on Monday when an uncontrolled motor-car in Ohiro Road dived over a bank and came to rest on the bed of a stream, Mr. A. Fitzgerald, a garage proprietor, of 195 Willis Street, and Mr. W. T. Eiby, a salesman, of Wadestown Road, were reported this afternoon to. be progressing' favourably. Mr. Fitzgerald, the driver of the car, was Jess severely injured than Mr. Eiby, who underwent an operation yesterday.

Mr. G. A. Hart, City Engineer of Wellington, is at present in a private hospital as the result of a severe scald suffered a week ago through falling into a bath, and his condition is not improving as rapidly as his friends desire. Mr. Hart left Wellington on six months' accumulated leave which will expire in May, and accepted an engagement with the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board in collaboration with Mr. E. T. Eorric, on the completion of which he returned to his home at Kauri.
