CHILD ACTRESS'S SALARY
Jane Withers, the child film star, who is 8, is stated to have declined to continue to act for a picture on which she was engaged unless the £30 ' a week which she was being paid was raised to £200. She got her rise. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Jane Withers played on the vaudeville stage at the age of four as a mimic.
