The youngster did not do as well as expected, and the idea was abandoned. Shemseh is now to race at Te Aroha, where the roomy track will be in her favour.

Whenuakura's full-relative Link Divine is- reported from Melbourne to be in fine shape for her next start, •which will be in the mile Doncaster Handicap, at Randwick at Easter.
