VALUES AT ADDINGTON.

Values for fat cattle at the Addington sale today were lower and store lambs were also cheaper, but there was little other change«i'rom last week. Lambs met a firm market, and prices for • store ewes were better. Fat "sheep: A yarding of 3800, with no change in values, though inquiry was not so keen. Export buyers toolc: little interest. Values: Best wethers, to 26s lOd; medium, 21s to 24s Sd; best ewes, to 26s 7d; medium, 15s 6d to 20s 6d; ordinary, 11s 6d to 14s. The fat lamb entry was good and competition was keen at late rates. Values: Extra prime, to 3*s 4d; prime, 24s 6d to 27s 6d; medium, 21s to 245. Store sheep: There was a slightly more numerous yarding, mostly ewes. Good young ewes and forward rape ewes sold well at an advance of up to Is. Best two-tooth crossbreds made to 33s 6d. There was a large entry of lambs, but the quality was not impressive, and values were lower by up to Is 6d a head.
Fat cattle: A yarding of 485 head compared with 440 last week. A few good quality lines of steers were penned, but the rest were not attractive. Best beef was 10s a bead cheaper and old cows and inferior cattle up to £ 1 lower. Best beef made :25s 6d to 27s 6d a 1001b; extra, 295; good, 23s to 255; ordinary, 18s to 21s 6d; rough down to ]ss. Extra prime heavy steers sold to £12 12s 6d; medium-weights.' £5 15s to £9 ss; extra prime heifers, to £8 12s 6d; medium, £4 to £7; extra prime cows, to £6; others, to £4 ss.
Fat pigs sold well, especially porkers. Baconers, 46s to £3 3s 6d; average per lb, 4ijd to sd. Porkers, 28s to 445; average, sgd to 6-jd,
