PUBLIC SERVICE RACES

WIN FOR P. AND T.

The inter-departmental swimming tournament held at the Thorhdon Baths last night by the Public Service Interdepartmental sports committee was won by the Post and Telegraph Department. The points were as follows:— P. and T., 29; Public Trust, 10; Taxes, 8; Education, 7; Pensions, P.W.D., and P.S.C., equal, 6; Health, 3; Tourist and Agriculture, equal, 1. The tournament was the first of a series for the Ward Memorial Trophy, and the gate takings are to go to the health camp campaign.
