TROUBLE WITH CUE

LINDRUM OUT OF TOUCH

LONDON, February 4.

Lindrum had an exasperating opening session against Newman in the "Daily Mail" gold cup sealed handicap billards match. His cue, which he has possessed for ten years, gradually split, necessitating the sawing-of£ of one-third of an inch. A new piece was grafted on. Lindrum fancied that the operation resulted in the cue being one-tenth of an inch longer. It struck unresponsively, and consequently he repeatedly broke down.

The International cable flews appearing in this Srsuo Is published liy arrangement with tho Australian Tress Association and the "Sun," f'Herald," New 3 Oflice, Limited.
