SINGING LESSONS FOR CONGREGATION

The singing of the congregation of Holy Trinity, Brompton, one of the most "fashionable" of London churches, leaves much to be desired, in the opinion of the vicar. For the first time in the Church's history, therefore, the congregation are to be taught to sing at practices. A prominent member of the congregation says: "I have had some really annoying moments hearing favourite hymns utterly ruined by bad and careless singing on the part of the congregation. They get either miles ahead of the choir or else miles behind. They're nearly always out of tune. This is one of the best ideas the church has had."
