MOST DANGEROUS

SITUATION IN EGYPT

STUDENTS' GENERAL STRIKE

CLASHES WITH POLICE

United Press Association—By Electric graph—Copyright.

(Received January 28, noon.)

CAIRO, January 27,

Despite their executive's manifesto pointing out that the political situation is most dangerous and ordering them to be calm, students are everywhere on strike. Those at the Art Schools made a bonfire of furniture.

The students have declared a general strike.

No clashes have occurred in Cairo, where the bridges were opened to prevent the approach of 1200 students from Giza, but police at Damanhour and Mansura fired on the demonstrators, wounding five at Damanhour and twelve at Mansura. Fifteen police were injured at Mansura.
